- Core Initiatives:
- Entrepreneurial Village: Micro-incubator community to develop small businesses. Emphasis on hemp manufacturing, green energy, and training for underserved entrepreneurs.
- Coal-to-Bioenergy: Expansion efforts continuing with partnerships focused on converting coal waste to sustainable bioenergy products.
- Media Initiative: Development underway for video content highlighting the project’s unity call in the hemp industry.
Housing & Community Development:
- Emphasis continues on the following innovative solutions:
- Modular and Prefabricated Homes
- 3D-Printed Housing
- Co-Living Spaces
- Adaptive Reuse Projects
- Tiny Homes & Micro Apartments
- Green and Smart Homes
Carbon Hill Tiny Home Community (“Hope on Second”):
- Development ongoing; includes 47 modular container homes designed to support veterans and underserved families.
Financial and Strategic Development:
- Currently advancing financial discussions and grant applications with USDA, HUD, and CRA banks for the Key’s Mountain housing project.
- Continued collaboration with Truist Bank (Kevin Reyes).
Meetings & Communications:
- Follow-up discussions needed with Sergio Rangel and Jennifer Boozer for media content creation on the I-22 Corridor initiative.
- Connect with Dave Cooper for continued partnership opportunities in modular housing and sustainable infrastructure.
- Ongoing outreach with Melissa and John Shea for board-level coordination and strategic initiatives.
Action Items:
- Finalize full outreach and application packages for USDA, CRA banks, and HUD for the Key’s Mountain housing project.
- Continue refining promotional and educational materials about sustainable and hemp-based housing.
