Kevin Edmundson – Founder & CEO of Viviscent Wellness Foundation

    Background & Expertise:

Kevin Edmundson is a visionary entrepreneur, health advocate, and leader in plant-based medicine and biotechnology. With a strong background in medical research, compliance, and business development, Kevin has dedicated his career to creating natural, holistic, and sustainable wellness solutions. His expertise spans across FDA compliance, product innovation, and transdermal patch technology, with a focus on nutraceuticals and alternative medicine.

Kevin’s work has been deeply rooted in community health, sustainability, and innovation, driving his mission to redefine healthcare by prioritizing natural therapies over pharmaceutical dependency.

    Personal Journey & Inspiration:

Kevin’s path to founding Viviscent Wellness Foundation was deeply personal. As a promising young medical student preparing to enter medical school, Kevin’s life took a dramatic turn when he suffered a stroke and was later diagnosed with stomach cancer. His journey through severe health challenges, including opioid addiction resulting from traditional medical treatments, led to further complications—eventually facing colon cancer and another stroke.

During his battle for survival, his wife, Jocelyn, encouraged him to explore natural therapies, nutraceuticals, and cannabinoids as an alternative approach to healing. Through extensive research and self-discovery, Kevin experienced a miraculous recovery, which fueled his passion for plant-based medicine and biotechnology-driven wellness solutions.

This life-changing experience inspired him to establish Viviscent Wellness Foundation, a mission-driven nonprofit focused on reducing pharmaceutical toxicity and promoting natural, science-backed health solutions. Kevin is dedicated to helping others access safer, more effective treatments through education, research, and innovation.

    A Mission to Support Veterans:

Kevin’s mission took on even greater significance after the loss of his best friend, Jason Rayner, a U.S. veteran who tragically passed away while fighting PTSD. Jason’s passing in 2014 left a profound impact on Kevin, reinforcing his dedication to supporting veterans struggling with mental health challenges, addiction, and the long-term effects of trauma. Jason was laid to rest at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by so many service members.

Through the Viviscent Wellness Foundation, Kevin is committed to developing holistic mental health programs, alternative therapies, and community support networks that address the root causes of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and addiction among veterans. His goal is to ensure that those who have served their country receive the care, resources, and alternative treatment options they deserve, reducing reliance on pharmaceutical treatments that often exacerbate their struggles.

    Vision for the Future:

Under Kevin’s leadership, Viviscent Wellness Foundation is pioneering sustainable healthcare solutions, including:

    • Advancing transdermal patch technology for high-absorption, plant-based therapies.
    • Building wellness-focused communities that integrate alternative medicine, permaculture, and sustainable living.
    • Launching research-driven health initiatives that blend biotechnology, nutraceuticals, and holistic wellness.
    • Developing community-based wellness programs to support individuals struggling with chronic illness, addiction recovery, and mental health, with a strong emphasis on veteran care.

Kevin’s journey from patient to pioneer in alternative medicine has made him a driving force in the movement for holistic, sustainable, and accessible healthcare. His mission remains clear: to honor Jason Rayner’s memory by ensuring no veteran has to suffer alone and to create a world where natural, effective health solutions are accessible to all.

Jason Rayner, a U.S. veteran who tragically took his own life due to PTSD

A Mission to Support Veterans: Honoring Jason Rayner

The Viviscent Wellness Foundation proudly dedicates its Veterans Program to the memory of Jason Rayner, a U.S. veteran who tragically lost his battle with PTSD in 2014. Jason was more than a hero—he was a best friend, a brother-in-arms, and a reminder of the struggles many veterans face after service. His passing left a profound impact on Kevin Edmundson, reinforcing his unwavering commitment to supporting veterans in their fight against mental health challenges, addiction, and the long-term effects of trauma.

Jason now rests at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, a solemn place that stands as a testament to the sacrifices made by those who served. In his honor, Guardian Hearts was created—an initiative within VWF dedicated to providing essential resources, mental health support, and pathways to healing for veterans and their families.

Through Guardian Hearts, we vow to ensure that no veteran fights alone.
