Viviscent Wellness Foundation Daily Brief: Yesterday’s Highlights

Yesterday was a productive and inspiring day for the Viviscent Wellness Foundation and our partners in the I-22 Corridor Project. Here’s what happened:

  • Major Meeting on the I-22 Corridor Project:
Our team, including Cesily Roussopoulos, Bo Bice, Stan, Austin, and others, met to advance plans for transforming Carbon Hill into Alabama’s first green city. The focus was on housing for veterans and seniors, workforce training, and bringing new manufacturing partners into the region.
  • Veteran and Senior Housing Initiatives:
We discussed partnerships with Boxable and explored using cargo containers for tornado-proof, affordable housing—especially for veterans and seniors.
  • Renewable Energy and Sustainability:
There were important updates on the green energy vision for Carbon Hill, including progress on solar, biochar, and hempcrete manufacturing. We confirmed a cement factory partnership and a shovel-ready hempcrete site, and also identified a former coal strip mine as a location for a major biochar operation with unlimited off-take capacity.
  • Workforce Development:
Plans moved forward to launch HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and solar installation training for local workers and veterans—empowering the next generation of green industry professionals.
  • Community Partnerships and Outreach:
We began organizing meetings with state and local officials, media contacts, and project partners. Notably, Bo Bice will play a leading role, and outreach to media outlets like WBRC/Fox 6 is underway to amplify our story.
  • American Idol Housing Raffle:
The team explored connecting the American Idol brand to a fundraising housing raffle—offering $100 tickets for a chance to win a home, with proceeds supporting veterans and community projects.
  • Medical & Health Innovations:
Discussion included advancing transdermal patch solutions for cancer and PTSD care, supporting wellness through innovative medical technologies.
  • Next Steps:
    • Scheduling meetings with state leadership and economic development officials.
    • Preparing detailed project information for partners and investors.
    • Planning community events and site visits for stakeholders.
    • Coordinating further media engagement and public outreach.

Thank you for your support as we continue building momentum for a healthier, more prosperous future in Alabama and beyond.
