A Place to Call Home: Hope in Action
A Sustainable Approach to Housing & Well-Being
“One Community, One Home, and One Individual at a Time.”
Background & Expertise
Kevin Edmundson is a visionary entrepreneur, health advocate, and leader in plant-based medicine, biotechnology, and sustainable community development. With expertise in medical research, compliance, and business development, he has dedicated his career to holistic, community-centered solutions that address housing, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
His work spans across FDA compliance, product innovation, transdermal patch technology, and sustainable housing, with a focus on nutraceuticals, alternative medicine, and creating self-sufficient communities for veterans and underserved populations.
Kevin’s approach integrates well-being, sustainability, and innovation, redefining how healthcare and housing intersect to create long-term solutions for individuals and families in need.
A Personal Journey of Resilience & Discovery
Kevin’s path to founding Viviscent Wellness Foundation (VWF) was deeply personal. While preparing for medical school, his life took an unexpected turn when he suffered a stroke and was later diagnosed with stomach cancer.
Following traditional treatments, he endured opioid addiction, which led to further complications—including colon cancer and a second stroke. During his battle for survival, Kevin’s wife, Jocelyn, encouraged him to explore natural therapies, nutraceuticals, and cannabinoids. Through extensive research and self-discovery, he experienced a remarkable recovery, igniting his passion for plant-based medicine and biotechnology-driven wellness solutions.
Determined to help others access safer, more effective treatments, Kevin founded Viviscent Wellness Foundation, a nonprofit committed to reducing pharmaceutical toxicity, promoting holistic healing, and providing stable housing for long-term wellness.
A Mission to Support Veterans & Underserved Communities
Kevin’s mission took on even greater urgency after the tragic loss of his best friend, Jason Rayner, a U.S. veteran who lost his battle with PTSD in 2014. Jason’s passing left a profound impact, reinforcing Kevin’s dedication to supporting veterans struggling with mental health challenges, addiction, and housing insecurity.
Through Viviscent Wellness Foundation, Kevin is pioneering:
- Sustainable, affordable housing initiatives for veterans and underserved families.
- Holistic mental health programs, integrating therapy, peer support, and alternative healing.
- Career development and workforce training, including entrepreneurship support.
- Addiction recovery resources, reducing reliance on pharmaceuticals and offering natural alternatives.
- A community-driven approach, ensuring every veteran and individual has a place to call home.
His goal is to ensure that veterans and underserved families receive the care, housing, and alternative treatment options they deserve, breaking cycles of homelessness, addiction, and economic instability.
A Vision for the Future: Building Thriving Communities
Under Kevin’s leadership, Viviscent Wellness Foundation is redefining community wellness through housing and healthcare innovations, including:
- Developing sustainable, affordable housing villages that integrate permaculture, renewable energy, and smart home technology.
- Advancing transdermal patch technology for high-absorption, plant-based therapies.
- Launching research-driven health initiatives, blending biotechnology, nutraceuticals, and holistic wellness.
- Creating self-sustaining communities that provide economic opportunities, education, and social support.
- Bridging the gap between healthcare and housing, ensuring that a stable home is the foundation for long-term wellness.
Kevin’s journey from patient to pioneer in sustainable wellness and housing solutions has made him a driving force in the movement for holistic, community-based healthcare and economic empowerment. His mission remains clear:
To honor Jason Rayner’s memory by ensuring no veteran suffers alone, and to build a future where everyone has access to a home, healing, and hope.
One Community, One Home, and One Individual at a Time.
