Professional Background
For more than 25 years, John has specialized in the development of finished lots, working closely with national and regional builders. A proven survivor of economic downturns—including the 2008 recession—John maintained financial integrity for both himself and his partners during even the most turbulent market cycles.
Since 2012, his focus has shifted to affordable housing and alternative construction solutions, recognizing a growing crisis in attainable housing options for working-class families.
Current Focus: Workforce Housing
Amid rising land costs, interest rates, and regulatory challenges, John has turned his full attention to workforce housing—the most viable and in-demand segment of the residential market today. Drawing from a deep well of experience, he advocates for:
- Smaller, more efficient floor plans
- Modular and alternative construction
- Scalable, replicable housing models
- Strategic use of policy tools like Florida’s Live Local Act to improve zoning, density, and cost structures
Vision Statement
“The housing crisis we’re facing will take at least 3–5 years to stabilize. My goal is to develop a scalable model for workforce housing that can be replicated in other high-growth regions—without relying on government subsidies. This will be the capstone of my development career.”
John has explored a wide range of construction solutions—from modular units and shipping containers to repurposed structures—and concluded that mass-produced, compact, and smartly zoned communities are the most practical way forward.
His Winter Haven project will serve as the pilot for this vision, designed to demonstrate the feasibility and scalability of this innovative approach to solving one of today’s most pressing economic challenges.
