Viviscent Wellness Foundation Community Residency Policy

1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to establish the eligibility requirements, behavioral expectations, and operational guidelines for residents of the Viviscent Wellness Foundation Community. This policy ensures a safe, structured, and supportive environment for veterans and homeless individuals seeking stability and wellness.
2. General Eligibility
2.1 Veterans
- Must provide proof of military service (e.g., DD-214, VA ID, or other military documentation).
- Must have been honorably or generally discharged.
- Veterans with disabilities (physical, mental health, PTSD, etc.) will receive priority housing.
2.2 Homeless Individuals
- Must meet the HUD definition of homelessness, including:
- Living in unsheltered conditions (streets, vehicles, shelters).
- Facing imminent loss of housing without alternative resources.
- Escaping domestic violence with no safe housing option.
3. Drug- and Alcohol-Free Policy
- No drugs or alcohol allowed, with the exception of:
- CBD (Cannabidiol) – Permitted for pain management, anxiety, and wellness.
- Cannabis (Medical Marijuana) – Allowed only with a valid medical prescription.
- No recreational drug use, possession of controlled substances, or alcohol consumption is permitted.
- Routine compliance checks may be conducted to ensure a safe living environment.
- Residents struggling with addiction may be referred to rehabilitation programs or counseling services.
4. Community Participation Requirements
- Case Management: Residents must meet regularly with a case manager to work towards self-sufficiency, employment, and wellness goals.
- Workforce & Skills Training: All residents must be actively engaged in job training, employment, or community service, unless medically exempt.
- Resident Responsibilities: Residents must contribute to community upkeep through maintenance, gardening, cleaning, or mentorship.
- Safe Zone Compliance: High-risk residents must remain in designated safe areas and adhere to GPS tracking wristband policies.
5. Housing & Behavioral Requirements
- Tiny Home / Cargo Container Living Study: Residents must provide feedback on housing efficiency, quality of life, and mental health impact.
- Tracking Wristband Requirement: All residents must wear a wristband that:
- Monitors medication adherence and health metrics.
- Features emergency support (SOS button).
- Stores digital medical records for emergency use.
- Commitment to a Safe & Respectful Community: Violence, theft, or disruptive behavior will result in immediate removal from the program.
6. Legal, Financial, & Ethical Compliance
- Residents must consent to research participation, with data used for public health studies, behavioral research, and technology development.
- All research will comply with HIPAA, IRB, and FDA standards for privacy protection.
- Residents must agree that by joining this program, the Viviscent Wellness Foundation Trust will have access to and oversight of all medical decisions and income management, acting under power of attorney for residents.
- Background checks may be conducted to ensure community safety.
- Registered sex offenders and individuals with violent criminal histories may not be eligible.
7. Mental Health & Crisis Support
- On-Site Mental Health Support: Licensed counselors and telehealth services will be available.
- Crisis Intervention: A 24/7 crisis hotline will provide emergency mental health support.
- Veteran PTSD & Trauma Support: Residents will have access to specialized PTSD programs and peer support groups.
8. Sustainability & Funding Model
- Funding Sources: The community will seek grants from HUD, VA, NIH, and philanthropic organizations.
- Long-Term Housing Stability: Residents will transition to permanent housing solutions upon achieving stability.
- Revenue Generation: Workforce training programs and research partnerships will help sustain operations.
9. Enforcement & Termination Policy
- Three-Strike Rule for Violations:
- 1st Violation: Verbal warning and corrective action.
- 2nd Violation: Written warning and case review.
- 3rd Violation: Possible removal from the program.
- Immediate Eviction for Serious Offenses: Violence, theft, illegal drug possession, or alcohol use will result in immediate expulsion.
- Residents found to pose a threat to community safety will be subject to legal action.
10. Agreement & Acknowledgment
By signing this document, I acknowledge that I have read and understood the Viviscent Wellness Foundation Community Residency Policy and agree to comply with all stated requirements, including the authorization of the Viviscent Wellness Foundation Trust to oversee my medical decisions and financial management as outlined.
